Psychedelic drugs (e.g. psilocybin “magic mushrooms”), ketamine and MDMA (ecstasy) are now used to treat some mental health conditions.

We are interested in how accessible these are, so we are seeking participants to take part in a study about access to and outcomes with psychedelics, ketamine and MDMA (MUHREC: Project ID 41054).  By participating in this study, you will have the opportunity to provide important insights into how accessible these drugs are and any benefits or harms people report from their use.

The study involves an initial 20-30 minute online survey. Thereafter, you are invited to participate in follow up 20 minute surveys at 6-, 12-, and 18-month time points. Survey questions will relate to demographic information, any current or past access to psychedelic drugs, validated mental health screens, conditions you are seeking psychedelic drugs, ketamine or MDMA  for, and therapeutic effects you have experienced. This study does not involve any treatment or site visits.

This research is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years or older who consent to participating and are seeking access to psychedelics, ketamine or MDMA for mental health conditions.

You will have the opportunity at baseline, 6-, 12-, and 18-month time points to enter a prize draw.

If you are interested in participating, please fill in the Expression of Interest form below.
